1st Autocross...... and I'm Hooked!
Went out this last weekend for my first auto-x...... what fun!
The hosting club was CRCC out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and must say they made me feel right at home Great track to start on (Hawkeye Downs) 1/2 mi. oval with banked corners and a inside 1/4 mi track tied in with it. The course layout gave a 1 1/4 mile run with doing the 1/2-1/4 and 1/2again. Throw in a few gates and cones and it made for a great layout. Hope I'm not spoiled with starting on a true race track and not a big parking lot. In any case I'm HOOKED
Now I have to get a trailer, extra set of wheels, tires, and ...... O'h where will it stop
Can hardly wait for the next one in September.

Welcome to the insanity!
Sounds like you started off at a great facility. You'll probably find the parking lot courses to be more challenging, since the only track you see is made up of cones. Video doesn't do it justice, but here's an example of a parking lot setup:

Have a good one,
