Wheel Cannard ala C6 Z06...
I decided to attempt to make the little front canards that are on the C6 Z06. After a couple attempts I got it looking right...
I am anxious to try them out on a track in 2 weeks to see if anything has changed...
Thoughts? (sorry for the dark shot, and the poor looking wheel wells, and the nasty drive way, etc...etc...etc...)

I have some I need to finish but they are much wider. How about a side view? Those don't look like canards to me from the picture, they seem to vertical. Are they just in the wheel well? I can't tell.

Took a while to dig that up but I knew I'd seen it somewhere on the forum.

The idea of the Gurney flap is to create a low pressure air zone on the out side of the wheel, to help pull or suck are though the wheel for added brake cooling. But if you dont have brake ducts for getting air into the rotor, the Gurney flaps may not serve their intended purpose.
But they do look great Adam

1. Help airflow around front tire to reduce drag.
2. Create low pressure to help evacuate engine compartment to reduce lift.
3. Add area to the front end for lift reduction.

I refer to them as wheel house extensions. Gurney lip is the flange added to rear wings at the upper trailing edge that helps increase rear down force without adding much drag. Any differance? Depends on what your looking for. On the track where everything is optimized and you add them you might notice a difference on very high speed corners.
