leaf removal tool question
(c6z06) service manual says to use the specialty compressor tool when removing or installing the transverse leaf. problem is, this tool is $850!
the only online instructions i could find are for callaway multi-pro coilovers. they make no mention of using a spring compressor.
will i be able to safely remove and reinstall the leaf without the spring compressor tool? i am replacing the stock leafs with T1 parts.

C6 swap is much like a C5,except on the rear you have to drop the upper A arm on one side just like the front.

because the spring is curved, you need to load it to get the mounting point to line up properly. I've always been able to put one side in place, then load the oposite side of the spring with a jack/jack stand, then it will pop right into place. If you switch to an aftermarket "straight" spring like VBP, they go right in with no loading required.
