2,300 hp Corvette
Thought you might want to check this one out.
I recently photographed this ground up custom 63 vette with 2300 hp. The goal was to create the quickest street car running a 6 second quarter mile. The owner has put on 120 miles on the street. He intends to do about 1000 miles then take it to the track.
The car is on its way to the Good Guys show in Ohio and will be on display at the Moroso stand.
No matter how you look at it, this is a sick vehicle. There are incredible amounts of engineering to make the car streetable.
Hopefully I'm going to do some additional photographic/graphic work with the owner.
cheers
Ken

I'm thinking that is would be real safe and easy to merge into traffic on a freeway. Say traffic is bopping along at say 200 MPH, you could just hammer down, put on your left turn blinker and safely merge into traffic. Very nice.

When I first looked at the photos I was ready to scream trailer queen and poser but now that I know that Rod Saboury built it, that is a different story. He is no poser. That should be one really awesome ride. Rod builds some really cool cars. Even if he hadn't built it the car is beautiful but knowing that it will live up to its billing is really cool.

Proof that's it's not just for show
I got a chance to talk to the owner the other day, Rod, and he finally did some shake down runs on the quarter mile.
Check out this video: http://ywnv.vidiac.com/video/a9e2c44...c9001f5d43.htm
He hits a 7.092 at 194. Rod says he has some more tweeking to do. It looks like a 6 second run is very doable.
Hopefully Rod is going to bring out the 63 to one of our Sunday morning church of the holy donut meets in the spring time.
cheers
