Default ISS and Space Shuttle just flew over

Both just flew over my house only a couple of degrees apart.

I was holding up my "Hello from CFOT" Sign

that was some pretty neat chit.

We built hundreds of parts for ISS and an ex-room mate of a friend is on this current mission.

I have no idea if any of them drive a Corvette. History (Mercury 7) says they should!

Saw it again tonight,
Not nearly as spectacular as last night though.

Just came back in from seeing both tonight. The track was much further south than last night, so we got a much better view. Last night was also pretty cloudy, but saw one of them through the breaks.

Looked like they were a good 20 degrees or so apart tonight; I was hoping they would be closer together. Did watch them fly into nightfall, though; that was pretty cool.

Hope they make it home safely tomorrow (I watched Columbia come straight overhead Feb. 1, 2003 as it started breaking up).

Have a good one,
Mike

I was in SoCal when the shuttle landed.
I'm really glad they warned us about that. It shook the whole valley!

Slowing down from 17,500 MPH definitely requires some thermal management, and we think that the rotors on a ZO6 get some heat input! Any way you want to do it, dumping kinetic energy generates heat.
