Alignment with Toyo RA 1 Tire
I am running Toyo RA 1 tires for track days and have noticed rear tires wearing more on the outer edge. Does anyone run these? Special alignment?
Thanks
Thanks

I have about one degree negative in back and run RA1's with even wear on back.

I have -1.5 in the fronts and -1.0 in the rears. Everything seems to be wearing evenly so far. I also try to keep the hot tire pressures in the 36 range (cold around 32).

Thanks for that info. I switch back to my GoodYear F1's for street after a weekend at the track. Any suggestions for getting back to street alignment easily without going to the alignment shop every other week?

Mark your street alignment settings on the coencentrics with a paint pen then have them do a track alignment and mark those settings with a different color.

I like track alignment settings on the street. The car handles much better that way. for Toyos, you gan't get enough neg camber in a vette. I ran them w -4* in my Z28 racecar, maybe it was even more, I can't remember anymore

I've been running Toyo RA-1's on the track, and Kumho MX's on the street for about 8 months now. I have about -1 degree rear camber and about -1.5 degrees front camber. I just keep those alignment settings all the time, and I haven't noticed any significant wear problems on my street tires. I expect you'll see the same things with your Goodyear F1's.
If you really want to be crawling under the car frequently to change the alignment, then knock yourself out. But I don't think it's worth the trouble.
