The Mid Ohio School
I want to extend a big "thank you" to the great people at The Mid Ohio School.
Today my 15 1/2 year old daughter attended their Teen Defensive Driving Program and had a great time. Rachael obtained her Ohio Driver's Permit last Saturday and I immediately pointed her in the direction of this school. It was one of the better decisions I have made, as Dave Roush and Jim Bishop did a wonderful job of teaching her and 6 other teenagers the art of defensive driving. I highly recommend anyone taking the school, but especially new drivers.
Dave Roush quoted a statistic that is staggering: 1 teenage driver is killed in the U.S. every hour. Traffic accidents are the largest killer of teenagers; more so that guns, suicide or drugs. Amazing.
Thanks again Dave & Jim, you did a great job. I also think you got a new racer in the works...

Ah, that's a definte...maybe.
I am looking forward to her making the move into racing, though. She used to dismiss that idea, but lately she has be warming to it. I spoke to some people who have brought their child through the racing ranks already about this, so I have the beginnings of a "game plan." Time will tell...
