Default Did I really get OEM GS wheels or did I get hosed?

Looking at my "new" track wheels today I realized pats of the hub area weren't coated black... so I got to looking and realized they don't say GM anywhere on them.

In the thread I bought them the seller was adamant they weren't repros and were indeed oem GM. They're 17x11 +50 offset and say so inside.

So are these OEM or repros?

I paid $1275 shipped w/ V710s w/ supposedly 2 track weekends on them so I got a good deal either way, but I jumped on them b/c they were supposedly OEM.

Should be a GM part number stamped on the backside of one of the "spokes". If it's there, they're OEM. The OEM wheels were made in Japan, hence the JPN casting.

If there's not a p/n, lemme know and I'll take a pic of mine and post or send it to you so you can see what I'm talking about.

If they were OEM A-Mold's that came as standard on the 96 Grand Sport cars, the wheels should have had a GM logo and a part number on them.

Brian, from the looks of the part number, you have the genuine wheel.

Here's a picture from the inside of one of the spokes of a genuine GS wheel I have in the garage. It has the same number as yours:

Here's a picture of the outside lip of the wheel. It should have this insignia on it. It looks like a blended MC or something like that:

You're right, Wallyman. Brian got a heckuva a deal if he got 4 11-inch A-molds with tires for that price.

Those 11"ers are worth a lot more than that.

Watch that front fender clearance under a load with these on. Both TimZO6 and I have rubbed notches in our front fenders with that set up. The driver side notch is bigger on my FRC. It clears my ZO6 fine but it is at stock ride height...

Is it still possible to get them from a dealer? I bought mine 2 or 3 years ago for $450 each (I knew a guy in a GM dealer parts dept). Wonder if I should get another set before it's too late.

Mid America website shows them in stock for only $619 each.

GM Parts Direct has a selling price of $425 each for the 9592480 part number which I believe is the 17x11.

That is about all my FRC was lowered - but the springs were softer than a ZO6
