Corvette Racing Team Pranks Aston Martin's Crew Chief
The Corvette Racing team wasn't satisfied in taking the top spot in last week's LeMans testing session, with Jan Magnussen driving the #63 Corvette C6.R around the course in 3:49:207, shaving 1.641 seconds from the #007 Aston Martin piloted by Enge/Herbert/Kox. They needed something else to let everyone know they owned Aston Martin.
According to the story, Aston Martin's Crew Chief George Howard-Chappell hurt is back early in the week and left his car at the track overnight. Seems the boys from Corvette Racing found out about that and slightly modified his ride. Corvette Racing's manager, Doug Fehan said "It didn’t take the boys long to make sure Ol' George had all his bases covered for the race!"
I'm covering all notable Corvette Racing news from LeMans on my Corvette Blog. Qualifying begins Wednesday and the race starts Saturday Morning (EST).

How do they have that much time to screaw around at the track??? Maybe GM needs to cut off some of the funds or something. Poor guy hurts his back trying to run with the Corvettes. Now he gets back to the track to see that crap, waste of time. I hope Astons do well this year, I know money is tight with that team.

It was posted elsewhere that it started with Austin Martin placing AM "wing" stickers on one of the Corvette transporters. If I was on one of the teams I would think it was great fun and would be planning the next "attack". Clean fun!
