C4 racer, showing ducts in lights.
There is a C4 racer for sale on Ebay. Someone asked about having ducts in the front lights so I thought I'd pass this on.

If the link gets deleted it is #160123458817
BTW, bonus girl picture.

Burning Brakes
Is the owner on this forum or has anyone here seen/heard this car run at BW? Is this Evan's old car? Thanks

There is quite a strong resemblance. Click the image to go

My vote is that the lady is a model, hired by the seller, californiaclassix,
for obvious reasons - she is very good at what she does.

C4 brake ducts
Here are three implementations of front-end brake ducts on the same car.
1) Although this implementation of headlight ducts is only applicable to a dedicated track/race car, it may be of interest to some. I designed and built these.
2) The lower lights have been removed and an air duct was fabricated to direct this air to a hose going to the rotor. The interior is typically painted black, but road debris from racing chips it off down to the fiberglass.
3) The turn signal lights are removed and a duct captures air there for the brakes.
Sorry, no eye candy in the pictures this time.

What did you do for the hood louvres? Can you take another photo higher on the hood?
THX!

C4 brake ducts
Responses to above questions.
Are they for sale?
Answer: Did not intend to make them for sale, just a one off for my racecar to get air to the brakes.
What did you do for the hood louvres? Can you take another photo higher on the hood?
Answer: No hood louvers on the car. It is a stock C4 hood.
Looking to put a lighter hood on later.
Oh, and how do I get the damn turn signal lights out of the bumper? I can't seem to free them up. Do I have to take the whole damn bumper off?
Answer: Did not take the bumper off. Keep in mind this is a
dedicated racecar, so the entire headlight mechanism is
removed. This gives easy & direct access to the lights.
They have been off for a while, so I don’t recall the steps,
but think they were bolted in. See if you can access them
in a similar manner you would change the bulb.

Front bumper cover has to come off if you want to keep the turn signal lights intact (and it assumes the rest of the front end is stock). Otherwise, use of a more specialized tool set...hammer and screwdriver...will pop 'em right out

I'll look again tonight while I'm in there.

There is a metal clip thing in there that seems to prevent this. There is absolutely nothing in the way (on the driver side the headlight, CC bubble, AIR pump, and horn are long gone, passenger side has only the coolant overflow tank) so I have access to them, they just won't pop out...

The hammer and screwdriver was a joke...beat/pry them out
