Hello,

Please forgive the newbie questions: what are tow hooks for at the back of track/race cars???

For when you have an off track excursion and can't find your way back to the paddock on your own.....that's when you're thankful you have 'em...

to pull you out of the tire wall, or sand trap. You can go VERY deep into tire walls at some tracks, and the front hook would not be accessible.

Interesting... makes sense. Never thought about that.

I may get one. I like the red KB one, but I'm going for an all-blacked-out LMB look, so I may need to paint it...

Keep the tow hooks RED easy to see if needed. Safty crews are NOT going to take the time too look for a safe place to attach the tow rope and hook.

If your car is a deadicated track car, TOW deacals pointing to the hooks are a good idea too.

No, it's not a dedicated track car. But I may get the hook and leave it in red like you said.
