Default Brake Caliper difference????

I need to order some new brake calipers and went to the Fred Beans website. They have 2 different calipers listed.

One is : "Caliper, corvette, right, coupe, convertible 01-04 $124.55"

The other is : "Caliper, corvette, right, hardtop 01-04 $101.55"

Any idea if the $101.55 is the one for the Z06? What's the difference between the two?

painted red!

i've often wondered this myself, but they are the same damn thing. the z ones are just red vs. the regular black ones.

you would think the prices would be reversed though...

There may be a larger volume of purchases of the Z caliper thus dropping the price.

Just the red paint is the difference, the red Z06 caliper is usually the cheaper one.

GMpartsdirect, Z06 calipers are $100.38, non-z06 $103.63

I remember only paying around $50 each for calipers when I ran T1 back in 00'. Maybe they just jacked the base calipers up faster than the red ones.

The red calipers guaranteeeee an additional 40HP and a reduction of 3 seconds for qualifying...... Get'em while they last.

doh, don't you know the e b a y word is illegal on this forum ..... which is stupid, btw...

I got a full set of 4 low mileage calipers on e b a y for $100 shipped. Not red, but they are in very good condition, and are in my "spares" box.
