Default May 12/13 Reno-Fernley Raceway with NCRC/ARC

Well, late decision but expect to make it up to R-F for the weekend and
probably the Friday afternoon open testing as well. NCRC runs a three
group HPDE with open passing at the top level and ARC runs a race
each day for race licenced drivers. Fun to watch when you get to know
some of the players, who are mostly coaches when you first run with
NCRC.

Last weekend at Thunderhill the race group had about a dozen cars in
the regular race group and then almost a dozen Radicals also ran in a
split group format that was entertaining, like a mini ALMS. The Radicals
were running from the 1:50 level up into the low 2:03s while there was
an old Cyclone with a giant wing that was running in the low 1:50's as
well. Really interesting when he blew a right front and shredded his
fender on the front straight going into turn 1 at 100+, good driving to
keep it out of the wall and get enough grip to make the corner as well.

Hope to see a few more Corvettes out passing the rest of the pack ...
Randy
