Hard bar ?
Is anyone using the aluminum harness bar from Hardbar usa? If so can you tell me how it attaches to the shoulder belt bolt? Better yet does anyone have a closeup pic?
Thanks,
Craig

I have one in my 86. You just screw the factory upper mount bolts into the threaded holes in the top of the bar. It's pretty straight foward.

I may have misunderstood your question. Are you asking how to attach the factory belt to the hardbar, as discribed above, or are you trying to install the bar with the factory bolts? If it's the latter, then you should have gotten Allen head bolts with the bar that bolt it to the original wholes. The factory torx head bolts won't fit in the holes in the bar.

Paul,
Thanks for the reply. I have not bought the bar yet. I was just trying to see how it attaches. It looks like most of the other brands have supports attaching to the seat bolts on the floor for reinforcement. The hardbar appears to not have any other supports.

It attaches to the stock shoulder belt mouting points, and is then screwed in and tighten to provide extra support. Good product and very light.
Actually, I would be very concerned about any harness bar that mounts to the floor, that sounds like a disaster waiting to happen

Hi gents, sorry I did not catch this eariler. The installation very very easy for C4/C5, it is best explained in the downloadable instructions here:
http://hardbarusa.com/hardbar/docume...uctions2c5.doc
The C6 installation is a little more complicated in that it requires a mod to the plastic B pillar interior. Still it is pretty easy, I do it in about 1/2 hour. In any case, the design is such that it is in tension like a guitar string, and in a C4 you actually feel the increaded stiffness immediately.
Thanks for thinking about us, let me know if I can help in any other way.

Is the C6 install the same for the C6 Z06?
Thanks Geoff
