Noh, not racing. I had some surgery last week and I'm still recovering. You'll do well with those FFR's, plus I'll be there cheering for you.

It wasn't too bad, just need a couple of weeks to get the stiffness out.

The car needed some surgery, too. I should get it back next week so I'll have it at CMP to get the stiffness out of that.

My guess is that Dan's car has the same Roush motor as Feb and running in ST1 or STU.

"Wildman" Ted W. will be there, Red '02 Z06 w/white stripes. He was worried that he wouldn't know anyone but I told him he'd see a bunch of people he already knew. Don't forget to kid him about running out of gas on that track...

In some cases YES , IF your parent is there too.

Check the rules for each organization.

Well I know I can get my beginner (novice, i think it is called) liscense for SCCA. Would I still be running on the track with other cars with that level/liscense? Is it considered a "competition racing" event? Would I be covered on insurance?
Thanks.

Look at the NASA web site http://www.nasaracing.net/

HPDEs are not racing. YES NASA has both. HPDEs are High Performance Drivers Education.

Insurance in most cases does not cover anything that is timed or competion. Read your policies exculsions setion for what IS and IS NOT written.

I would liked to have come down and "shake down" all the work I've been doing, but I still have the engine out of the car. Been waiting on rod bolts (and a few other items) for over a month.

Hope to have it in this week, but not in time for CMP. As I repeatedly mention, I consider CMP the most UNPLEASANT track in the world!

If we could just combine turns 1-3 into a fast left-hander, then turn turns 11-14 into some sort of carousel, all would be good in the universe. Not worth waisting the fuel and brake pads to me....

Exactly ... and CMP is VERY unfriendly to windshields too from the fine sand.

NASA allows 16 year olds in HPDE - as does Seat-Time.com at Roebling and Turn One/Full Lock at CMP among others.

Jake will be there instructing - but not running any of our cars - our cars are all getting "shop time" at the moment (waiting for parts from LGM...) and then the time to finish installs.

I will be at One Lap so I had to cancel this event...
