Default July 27th HPDE at Summit Point Main!

Hey everyone, it's been a while. I would like to announce that the Northern Virginia Corvette Club is holding an HPDE on the Summit Point Main track on Friday, July 27th. Registraion is now open and as soon as it is posted on the site you can downlaod a registraion form and www.nvcorvetteclub.com and go to the events page. or you can email me at whiskeytahoe@aol.com and I'll email the registration form to you along with a pretech form. This is a high speed event so according to NCCC you must have a fire extinguisher mounted and if you are running in a convertible you must have a roll bar.

I hope to see a few of you out there
George

I should sign up for the club and event.

Do you need any instructors?

Thanks,

George

I second that question--are there instructors for novice students? Or is this recommended for more experienced drivers only?

There will be Novice, Intermediate and Advanced run groups. Instructors are free but must register and have their credentials approved by the club. You do not have to be a Northern VA CC or NCCC member to enter. Just need a safe Vette and proper safety gear. It will be a good time ! $175.00 for the day.

If you would like to instruct fill out the registration form and put down your instructor's qualifications and mail it to me. Also put down some refrences so I can show it to our chief instructor. It's thier call.

There are instructor's for all run groups at first.
Novice will have instructors all day
Intermediate will have an instructor for AT LEAST the first half of the day. If you want to run solo you MUST get signed off.
Advanced will have an instructor for the first session to prove they are qualified to run solo and will be signed off after the first session after they verify their qualifications.

There is a ton of track time at this event! I usually go through a full tank of gas and pray I can make it down the street to the gas station!

This will be a fun event for all calsses of drivers - Advanced, Intermediate and Novice. Lots of track time on a fun track for a very reasonable price. Limited number of spaces are available for each experience category, so get your registration in early.

I mailed my signup today. Summit is a great track. Don't why I have not done this in so long (2-3 years).

Regards, Robert
