Default Not one Mid-Ohio thread?

I've been watching on and off all week for anyone posting a roll call for NASA at Mid-Ohio this weekend.

Nothing...

I guess I'm the only Corvette headed down.

Danny, you going? Or do I actually get a trophy this weekend in TTU?

Anyone who's going look for C4 #271. My new numbers didn't come in yet so I'll have cool blue painter's tape on the doors...very classy.

Good luck.
If you want a little more class than the blue painters tape, go with some good old white shelf paper. The stuff is inexpensive and you can make some good looking numbers with it on a budget. They stick at speeds of at least 115, as I have tested them on track.

I am signed up and am planning on attending. I just need to see how my dog recovers from surgery...

Oh yeah, but I don't drive a Vette. So I don't count, right?

I'll be there albeit without my car......New engine still had oil pressure issues like last year.......I pulled it apart myself and found it, but I nfound I needed to do a couple of more things before it will be right in my head. Soo........No blue car this weekend.

I will be going through comp school this weekend in a friends Spec Miata ( which I had planned on doing even if the blue car was there ), and then do to some kindness on James Forbis part, I will be hopefully competing in TTU and ST1 in his other car, a yellow '99 FRC with a solid roller 402 in it. James is selling it and wants me to drive it up there soooo........

I found out there was still alot to do on it to have it ready, and fix some things that had recently been overlooked...

Gotta go, I am crazy busy and I am supposed to be there tonight...

See you all there .

Loaded up and ready to go. Myself, a black mustang (#007) and a silver RX-8 in TTD (#008). And no, they didn't know each other before they picked the cheesy numbers.

And hopefully a blue Z06 in TTA driven by L98 on Sunday...

Mid-Ohio was great ....had a blast on Friday and Sunday......Saturday sucked. Saturday I cleaned up 4 separate oil messes due to more than likely cracked compression rings in James Forbis' brand new 402 solid-roller Scoggings-Dickey crate engine and got the low oil pressure warning message..... Went out Saturday in 4 sessions, was unable to get a lap in for qualifying for ST1 made a total of 6-7 laps in all four of those sessions combined, was on FIRE (10 feet off of the rear of the car) , was on the roll-back (mandated) cleaned up all of the oil messes.....Did not have a pleasant Saturday...very bad day at the race track...Still managed somehow to win TTU and set the fastest TT time of the weekend in 2 laps...Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good I guess... Never had any confidence in that car all weekend ( thats what happens when in only 7 laps you have all of the above trauma.)
Sunday went somewhat better and was going to drive Forbis' T1 car in TT, but that changed when his brand new trans (3 races) decided to have a handful of neutrals in 3rd gear during qualifying......James wasn't having fun either......So he wanted me to take out his '02 Z06 street car with Kumho's on it that his brother-in-law had been running in HPDE1...WOW stock cars are pretty fast even with no alignment, corner-wieghting or lowering. Ended up winning TTS and setting fastest TT time on a stock Z06 (really a TTA car with 10mm to big tires)...Stock brake pads however only lasted 1 1/2 laps before the pedal was feeling REAL bad...

I am sure others on this board had more fun this weekend than I . It was nice to meet Bob Mayer and Ed Lewis finally.......

I certainly was smooth in the Spec Miata that I went through Comp School with ..... I ran top 3 times of the weekend in SM ....With all of the shiet that I went through Saturday , I should have just rented a SM.......You have to be SMOOTH in the Spec Miata ..no power to catch the rear when it steps
