World's Fastest Indian
I rented the DVD last night, great movie.
Sir Anthony Hopkins says it is one of his best work.
If there's someone in your life that doesn't understand why you race, have them watch it.
EDIT
Found a good website about his adventures

I was wondering if that was any good. But then again, is any Anthony Hopkins work not great? At least my new wife likes NASCAR. She hates F1 because she says the cars sound sissy. I can get her to at least try this movie because she thinks Hopkins is the best (so do I).

Great movie. I like that he builds all of his own pistons. Talk about a life that is all about racing!!! Most of it is a true story, they did put a little bit of Hollywood into it.

Great movie, and you don't have to be a motorhead to enjoy it either.
I watched it on the big screen (ok, small art house theater screen, it had a pretty limited release) and the sounds of the big v8 salt cars when they first get to Bonneville was priceless. I could not get the deep rumble and scream duplicated on my home system with the DVD.

Ok, I just saw Talledega Nights and Fastest Indian. Fastest Indian is the best racing movie of all time especially the Burt Munro extra feature. TN is just plain stupid fun, I laughed the whole movie.

In case anyone is interested.
Before the movie there were two books about Burt Munro.
The second book is
George built cars. Racing cars. Built them with/for Bruce McLaren.
Later he built cars on his own - his F5000 cars did very well.
Here is a site with photos of some of his cars.
This involvement motorsport probably had something to do with why
George Begg was inducted in '94 an an inaugural member of the
MotorSport New Zealand Wall of Fame. Check out the names of his
fellow inductees - you might recognize one or two of them.
As an author, in addition to writing about Bert Munro, Mr. Begg also
wrote about Bruce McLaren.
need to go pretty far afield. I can recommend TechBooks in
New Zealand.
While Tim Hanna acknowledges George Begg in the introduction
to "One Good Run: The Legend of Burt Munro" I wonder
whether Mr. Begg has received any other recognition for
his part in bringing the story of Bert/Burt Munro to our notice.
I have no idea what Mr Hanna accomplished in his life,
besides writing about Bert/Burt Munro.
As for Mr. Munro, I think this quote speaks to all of us in AutoX & RR:
