Let's tell the whole story - there were only 4 cars in the class.

What has happened to that class? I remember that Saleen and Vipers in there before.

ho hum, manufactured entertainment just a notch above pro wrestling IMO. Glad you find it important, entertaining, and worthwhile. I find it none of these things and take no notice of it.

What really matters is how the mass produced C6 and Z06 perform in the hands of real people on real roads.

IMO all. Even if I cared about these 'races' it was too darn hot here to be outside-much less at PIR!

Your in the road race section of the forum, most of us do care. You want to talk about boring, let's talk about the C6 and Z06 on normal road in the hands of real people...totally boring. Take your car to the track and go wheel to wheel with another car, then you will have a new found respect.

I thought it was a pretty good race. I found the controversy over the driver changeout a bit of a reach from the Aston Martin team, but overall a good race.

I do think that they need to get the Saleens and the Vipers back in the class. What happened to the Maserati's that were supposed to be running as well? The Speed Challenge races are fun to watch with the Porsche's, Vipers and Vettes going at it. Would definitely be good to see some more competition in the ALMS.

The Maserati MC12 was made for the FIA GT Championship, but came out before the SRO (the sanctioning body for FIA GT) sought to unifying its rules with the ACO's rules. ALMS wanted the car to race here anyway after C5-Rs won every race in 04.

Oreca might race at Petit Le Mans with their Saleen S7R.
