Default Allstate

My Allstate renewal just came, and now HPDE's are clearly excluded.
I know other states had the exclusion last year, but it seems to be a new exclusion in NY.

time to search the archeives here for what you other guys did.
Luckily I'm driving a 10 year old C4, and the loss wouldn't be earth shattering

"High Performance driving on a race track"

The wording is very clear as to what we do.
years ago, it was "timed event", or "wheel to wheel racing"
but they changed it.

figure I would read my coverage.

First (glad I looked)
I need to add the trailer to my dec page, but I dont think there is a charge for it.

Second
Loss to your covered auto or any non-owner auto located inside a facitlity designed for racing for the purpose of:

a. competing in; or
b. practicing or preparing for; any prearranged or organized racing or speed contest.

Since I never have signed up for a timed event and I dont plan on doing one then I might be covered. I guess the wording Speed Contest is open, but if it is not timed then I don't see how a HPDE could be considered a speed contest.

I wish NJ could get additional track coverage. I would be all over that.

I got the american collectors insurance for HPDE.

Weasel, I think you would be covered with that wording, that is what Allstate used to say.

SPeed contest and timimg are the same.

That is why so many clubs have the classroom and forbid timming equipment. so it is a Drivers Education event.

but as Larry has written, kills the HPDE.

My Insurance ( Alstate, did not have that disclamer and I read it over and over .

We will see come december renewal time.
