Trailer insurance?
My agent tried to write a personal policey with progressive to cover my 20' enclosed trailer, cost was about $125, which sounded about right. She was told the policey was cancelled and a commercial policy would have to be written, cost $1200. What are you guys doing for insurance on your trailers?

mine in the business 9.990 lb open is $2200 per year. I do use it for business all the time hauling stuff. That is why I bought heavy and open.

I pay State Farm about $9 every 6 months. That is for comprehensive coverage on the trailer. Do not need liability or collision insurance since the tow vehicle insurance covers those portions.

I pay Allstate $30.00 every 6 months.
BTW, if the trailer is attached to the truck, it is covered by the truck's policy, if the trailer is parked somewhere, and the car is inside the trailer, the trailer is covered by the cars policy, go figure.
