Yes, but at those tire pressures, they're "wrinkle BOTTOMS",so (IMHO) they are being used inefficiently (and maybe even dangerously). I would like to see comments from the Goodyear tire engineers on this picture.

Given that this particular car probably traps at 150mph, I would not want to be driving it on tires that give a new definition to "Run Flat".

If you think they are inefficent line up and see if you can stay within half track. As far as safety the car leaves hard and goes streight as an arrow at manufacturer recomended tire pressure. if you have time go look at still photos of big hp cars leaving and look at the tires. HAVE A NICE DAY.

If the sidewalls wrinkle, I would tend to think the contact patch has to deform as well.

Sorry LOWETS but I just said that "I" wouldn't want to be driving it.

However, "I would like to see comments from the Goodyear tire engineers on this picture."

That is drag tire on that car and it is designed to wrinkle that way.

You can see many videos of how staight that car tracks at www.challengevideos.com and do a find for Mike Mitchell
