Default New Calipers and Rotors from Hardbar/PFC

Here are a few pics of my new calipers, the new PFC 33 on the revised Hardbar rotors. We will be at NHIS tomorrow final testing them. Check out the pics of the pads next to some stock C6Z pads that are about 60% left! Oh yes, they fit within the stock C6Z wheels with a 1/8 spacer and are 100% made in USA of the finest materials and on state of the art CNC machines!
The rotors are $750 a (front) set, the calipers with C6/C6Z mounting hardware $3300, and pads in your choice of PFC compounds are $310 an axle. The SS lines are from DRM and are they same lines that are for the the stock calipers. There is no better system than this at any reasonable price (i.e. carbon/carbon or ceramic at 3x or more this price). This caliper is advertised to be the stiffest 2 piece caliper on the market and the feel is incredible. Pad changes can be done in 40 seconds, just remove the 2 twelve point jet nuts and the pads come out with the bridge. This system is 13 pounds less unspung weight (PER CORNER!)than stock with absolutely friggin' amazing stopping power. It will pay for itself with the difference in pads value if nothing else!
We are now taking orders!

How much are replacement rotors (minus the hats)?

Those are some serious looking brakes, good work.

The floaters are $230 and the fixed mount are $200. They are heat treated and balanced and like everything else on our system, 100% made in USA. The hardware is AN (aircraft) grade. I just got tired of screwing around with less than superb brakes on such a fantastic car....

Just a bit more meat on the pads eh?

Any chances of a C4 kit?

It will fit C4's and C5's as well if you have the 18 inch wheels to go with it.

Default Wow

Looks like great work again Gary, your products are always well engineered, actually tested before sold, and look first rate.

Looks nice! So, why are the calipers (looks like 4-piston) priced above and beyond all the other brands street/track calipers?

Since you needed an 1/8" spacer for the C6Z wheels how big a spacer do you think you'll need on the C6 non-Z wheels to fit these? Yet another reason to get those CCWs I'm drooling over, I guess.

Matt
I was there today, when Gary and his crew were out testing.
I even got to go for a ride! Still can't believe how deep you could go into turn 9 with those things.

The look on the GT3 Cup car driver after you passed him was priceless

Here are pics of the rotors after a day's worth of thrashing:

This was using the PFC 97 compound. Everybody always asks how rotor friendly various pads are. These rotors were glowing red-orange so you can judge for yourself. They also have about 3000 street miles on them as well with the stock calipers and pads previously. Hardbar makes stuff that we want and sells the same to you. I am very happy even if I don't sell any of these, they work so well.

Yes to both. The NASCAR back straight is banked a little, so when you turn on it, it is off camber. In addition, these transitions are abrupt so as the car leans from the cornering forces, it hits and bottoms the suspension. Clearly it needs more spring, compression damping, bar stiffness or a combination of all 3. On my GT car with coil over Penske's you hardly notice these transitions. I was instructing a guy driving a Lotus Elise and when I got back into my car it felt like a Caddy it felt so soft. I doubt I will change it much though, it is my street car and I like it this way on our lousy NE roads. I think it is funny the way some people over lower their cars, I want all the suspension travel I can get. Obviously NHIS is not billiard table smooth.
