Yeah, I'm harder on myself than anyone. and switching from Kumho MXs to v710s moved me from a mid-pack, honorable mention to a front runner. Now I've got a target on my back and a few guys are gunning for me. Right after I posted this, I had the camera hooked up to the TV watching video of myself to see what needs to be improved.

1. Throttle and brake inputs still need to be much smoother.
2. Down shifting is still a little rough
3. there was a single cone 180' turn that gave me a lot of trouble

on the car
1. shocks are dead (4 years old, all origional OEM suspension)
2. Brake pedal was a little softer than I would have liked, but that only because the fluid is old (I got lazy)
3. Going to need 1 more set of 710s to get through the summer.
4. there is a little bit more throttle oversteer on corner exits than I would like. I'm going to try adding in a little more rear toe-in to help correct this.

Do yourself a favor and forget the Kumhos. Get a set of Hoosier A6s and you will be even faster.

Since this thread is back up, I might as well post the videos too.

a little background. 1-on-1 Motorsports does 1 event per month from May until October on what used to be Bitburg AB. It's mainly set up at a 1/4 mile event, but we use one of the ramps for AutoX. Normally on Saturday we do an AutoX event on the ramp, then on Sunday modify and extend the AutoX course onto the taxiway and call it the road course. Each day is worth 10 points towards the season championship

This is from the July event

This is the in-car camera from July

This video was from May
note: on saturday, the weather was so bad that we couldn't set up the timing gear so there is a lot of video of us just messing around on the ramp.

I posted these pictures in C5 Gen a while back
Thought I'd share a few pictures of the local AutoX event from this past weekend. This was my 1st event on Kumho v710s and also my first win. 1-on-1 Motorsports does one event a month with 1/4 mile drag racing, AutoX, and a Roadcourse (extended autoX course) on what used to be Bitburg AB (now a private airport). I took 2nd in the AutoX and 1st on the roadcourse.

the rest of the pictures are HERE

(It's funny how many strange looks I get when people see me towing a trailer down the autobahn in a vette.)
