Default Brush on Paint protection?

I was at track one day and noticed Vette guys brushing on a clear liquid that hardened almost like Varnish then peels off after race. Anyone know what this is and where to get it?

I've seen the Duplicolor paint advertised.

I found a thread on this type of paint protection.

If cleartastic would sell sheets of their product we would have the answer. 3M also makes the clear static sheets but I have not been able to get them to sell sheets either. They say it has to be professionally applied.
