I just read that Porsche bought controlling interesting in VW. VW makes the Bugatti. Therefore I find it amusing that Porsche will try to outdo their subsidiary's own car. Also if they get back into Le Mans racing, what happens to the Audi R10s? I think Porsche didn't want to enter Le Mans the past few years because they were afraid.

Porsche likes to cherry pick where they race. Their Indy car was a slug, and they have never made a fast car in their entire history that did not have a blower. I have never used the top end that my car has now, what the hell is 250 plus good for?

250+ is good for BRAGGING RIGHTS. It will give all the "German engineering is better" types something to toss out for decades to come.

That V10 in the CGT is a real slug and those naturally aspirated RS Spyder's look pathetic.

Top speed is just for bragging rights. Just like dyno numbers...

It seems a cheap shot to not add at least 5 MPH. Then the Bugatti could just turn up the boost anyway.

Imagine the insurance cost

If they keep pushing these numbers, they'll have governors on all cars everywhere. The same thing happened when the Suzuki Hayabusa and the Kawasaki ZX12 were trying to become the first 200 mph production motorcycle. Some governments threatened boycotting the bikes, so the motorcycle companies agreed to speed limiting all their motorcycles.

I can care less about top speed. All I care about is 5 mph to 150 mph.

I stand corrected. But then again the reason I forgot about that is I have never seen one and for $500K it sure as hell should to be. I still don't understand why it weighs more than a C6Z though.

Not many can afford a car like that but many can buy a 9 second 200 MPH bike. I guess they don't panick as much about cars.
