These are Sportsbrake rotors, using Hawk HP+ pads. Just got back from a highspeed autocross and saw this when I got home. I know it's a crappy picture, but the rotor looks just burnt. Never seen this before, but never really ran the car this hard before. Anything to be concerned about?

Not at all! Run them harder!!!!!

And BTW, those slots are just eating up your pads faster (cheese grater).

Yeah I know. Getting a set of NAPA's next week before a HPDE on Nashville Superspeedway.

My NAPA rotors did the same thing at Watkins Glen with the Hawk HP+ pads. The Vette guys that I saw a few weeks later at Pocono who looked at my car said that kind of "bluing" of the rotors is normal when you run them hard. They seem to work fine and no warping, so I'm just ignoring the color change.

If they weren't discolored, I'd say you're not braking hard enough. Try to let your brakes cool off a little before parking it after a session. Taking a slower last lap and not using the brakes will help them cool alot, or driving around the padock will also help cool them. Also do not apply the emerengcy brake or sit stationary with the brake pedle applied after the brakes get hot. This kind of care for your brakes will give you longer pad, fluid, and rotor life.

I use the HP Plus also.... along with 2 piece slotted only Erradispeeds rotors. My rotors look nice and BLUE too .......

Blue is cool

I ran the Nashville Roval last October - it was a good time and not that hard on brakes...I really loved the "bus stop"

Discoloration? No that blue / rainbow color is normal.

What is abnormal is nice shinny silver polished iron color or painted rotor hats from non use.
