C5 Vararam intake - brake/engine temps?
I have a similiar post going on in the C5 Tech section, but I wanted to have a specific one with the opinions from experienced auto-x/road racers!
My C5 has the Vararam intake and I am very happy with the performance gains it makes. However, this intake uses the front facia openings to the L/R of the license plate and feeds the engine cool air from them. This, of course, robs the engine bay and brakes of cool air.
Should this be a huge concern for me? (Enough to change to a different CAI intake system?) If I could attend 10 events this year between auto-x and road racing, I'd consider that a miracle! I'd say that I'll be an occasional racer...
Thanks!

I thought I knew my vette better, but I forgot about the brake inlets hanging off from the bottom of the facia. :o :o
It looks like I'm good to go on both concerns! Thanks
