Cool
I am a big fan of Fernando Alonso. Not just because he was last years Champion, or because he currerently leads the WDC. Truth be told, what got me interested in F1 was the fact that Alonso comes from the same region of Spain as my family. Not that I can speak Spanish or have ever been to Spain But just that my Grandparents grew up near where he is from, seems kinda cool to me. I was very close to my Granparents and they were very proud to be from Spain (More proud to have become American citizens) so I heard many storys growing up. Its not like Spain has had many World Champions in any Sport.
Anyway I was wondering what F1 fans here think about the Schumacher incident at Monaco??? where he stopped on track during qualifying. Was it an accident or did he do it on purpose??
What are the thoughts here??

Big fan since ESPN starting televising in late 80s, been to US & Canadian GPs. Never really had a favorite driver/team, but became a 'Freddy' (Fernando) fan 3 seasons ago--I called him to be Schumi's heir-apparent (when all of my other F1 buds said Kimi).
Excited to see some real competition back in F1 after the Schumi dynasty days...

Yes, I have been a Formula 1 fan since 1958. My wife and I attended all of the Watkins Glen Races (see attached picture of the 1973 driver's meeting), and took several pictures of drivers and crew which were subsequently autographed by same the following year. I also attended the Long Beach GP, and the Dallas GP, where I was fortunate to be invited to participate in one of the Vintage support races. My wife and I still support Michael Schumacher

Im a serious F1 fan. Ive seen every race on TV that was available to me since a kid. Been to variety of races too. I like all drivers and all teams except Motoya. I am a Schumacher fan, but the Monaco qualifying incident has changed my respect for him quite a bit. I want Kimi to win the champion, but it appears that wont happen without a miracle. As a driver, he has earned it, but his car has let him down too often.

BTW.. I'm currently a JPM fan. Don't ask me why because I think that he's kind of an as* off the track. After watching him in CART and at the Indy 500 in 2000, I was really impressed with his driving. I think that he's got the raw talent to be the best, but not necessarily the head. I especially don't know where his head has been the last couple of seasons. He's just seemed to have lost the fire to compete.

Im a serious F1 fan. Kimi Raikkonen has been my favorite since he entered. Hoping next year he will be with Ferrari, if the rumors hold true. I then expect to see a champion out of him
