Much better tire, both speed-wise and longevity.

I ran some used A6s on a road course in Texas about a month ago. They stuck fine, in my limited experience. Warmed after around 1.5 miles, dialed in after a full lap. They never gave up on me, so either I never got to their limit or was just right on that day. Since it was an HPDE, I have no lap times. I was passed by C6 Z06s, Porsche and well-driven BMW. I passed a couple vipers, and some C6, plus the usual BMW, Porsche and so on. I ran 17/315 rear and 17/295 front, at 26 and 28 cold respectively. The tires had at least two heat cycles on them when I got 'em. I'm going to use them for at least one more track weekend.

Yak, you are running them at too high a pressure. Try 25F, 22R.

Are those pressures for autocross or road course?

I may have had the f/r pressures reversed. My next purchase will be a pyrometer. I'm beginning to need to know the temps across the tire, not just the pressure.

Those pressures seem real low, for a road course. I am a relative noob though, to R compound tires. Any and all input is welcome. What are they getting up to hot starting off that low in a 25 minute session?

Figure about +5 to +7 PSI when hot. Please note that the T-1 guys that run A6s start them at around 24F 20R.

Many of the T-1 Vettes at the SCCA race at Summit Point this spring were on A6s.
