My avatar died on me.
I may not make Pocono this weekend. I was going to meet some of you there, sorry. Then again she would want me to go.

Sorry to hear. There is a very special bond the grows with them. It's not like losing a member of the family -- it IS losing a member of the family. We will miss you at Pocono, but you have to take care of first things first. If you do make it, stop by and say hi (black/black '03 Z06, NJ plates). I'm a dog person too so I can feel your pain.

John, sorry to hear about your loss. My dog is my best friend also. I used to bring her to work with me also. Until she got hit by a car on the highway. I paid huge money to fix her up, now she hangs out on the couch during the day.
Sorry again,
Randy

Oh damn. I'm so sorry to hear.
We have a 13yo!!! sheltie (my wife's dog) that is deaf, mostly blind and very senile ... I'm rueing the day because I know it's coming and my wife will be crushed.
I've lost dogs and horses... they are all hard.
Again, sorry to hear, sincerest sympathies.

I'll light a candle and say a prayer for her, as I will for my dog that died last June 10th.
I still hope to see you at Pocono. You may discover that you are closer than ever to her spirit when you do what you enjoy the most.

John, I'm a cat lover, but I've had to put a couple of them down in the past few years; it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
I usually end my posts with "have a good one", and truly mean it, but man, there's nothing good about day's like this.
So, instead, have the best one you can.

When I recieved the pictures you sent me I didnt know you had lost your best friend. I can relate lost mine about two years ago and still not over her. Only thing I can say is think about the good times and I am sure there were plenty.
