first thing that I did after ordering the car last week was to look into a canton pan
they don't have a part # for it yet.
I had a stock pan, a "t" pan with 2 trap doors, but I always lost presure on turn 3 of streets of willow.
the canton roadrace pan worked with out problems
I hope that someone makes a good pan for the c6

Accusump. Worst case, you've got a pre-oiler, plus a safety net.
If you're pushing the car enough to where an extra 3 qts doesn't cut it . . . . dry sump.
(that's just IMO)

This an LS1/LS6/LS2 engine. While I'm not yet convinced, the LS2 pan seems to be a popular setup. Definitely use an accusump regardless. Not only do you get cornering protection, but you ELIMINATED dry start ups.
Remember the old Castrol ads. "90% of engine wear comes from engine startup", or something like that. It's nice having 20-30psi BEFORE you ever fire the engine.

nope - driver's side, behind the wheel. Think roughly the spot where the battery/PCM is, only on the driver's side.
There's some pictures 'round here somewhere . . . I'll see if I can track them down.

The photo is helpful, thanks.
It seems like an accumulator is the concensus, however, my inclination is to get a real road race pan from Canton. Seems like the can is a bandaid and the pan is the real fix. Maybe both.

IMO, it's a bit of both. For as good as the stock pan is, there's still some needed improvements. I'm personally not a fan of sheet metal pans . . . . but then again I've been called 'quirky' before as well.
Also IMO, for as good as any pan is, there's inevitably going to be a point w/ a wet sump where you'll be up a paddle w/o a creek. The bandaid is an extra 3 qts, at that point.
A dry sump is the real answer, regardless. Only question comes down to where you want to mount the tank.
