Nice run. First time I've ever seen an autocross where the course was not only marked by cones but also white lines. What did they use for that???

Lots clubs use flour and spread it with a baseball line marker. Rub it in by dragging a broom across it.

We were the only heat that got rained on. So we only had two dry runs and everyone else got 5.

That is some great driving. I noticed you out ran two Formula Fords and a shifter kart on that small course.

The guys running CM are buddies so they understand. But the guy running the F125 was honestly shocked. He spent the entire morning talking about how he was garanteed FTD.
This kart of his had it all. it was a nice looking thing with laptrax and stuff built in. I felt bad for him cause on his last run he was looking even faster, then the exact moment I thought SPIN--- he spun. He was fine. No damage or anything. Just a littel dusty.

And I cheered.:o (by accident...well sortove by accident )

Oh well, thats the competition part.

All in all it was a GREAT day of racing for Red5.

The video was from this past weekend's event in Lexington, KY. CKR region.

We actually use the "baseball line marker" dust because flour was too apt to be blown by the wind and mess up the timing lights (plus a light rain would wash it away before the last heat). And yeah, we do use the broom trick.

I try to get newbies to come out to our events because they're so well chalked, much easier than starting off at Sharonville or Cardinal Stadium, nothing but a sea of cones.

I don't know how Red5 did so well on that course, I couldn't find any time out there; but I'll keep comparing videos...
