Default PF PFZ PF 01 PFZ01 etc... which pads do I want for autocrossing?

I currently run the PF Z rated pads that I bought at autozone. But I've heard that Performance friction makes other pads for our cars. So which one do I want for hard core auto X?

I believe the PFC-Z pad is no longer made. I went to return mine last month (lifetime warranty!) and AZ no longer carries them. I'm looking for something new now, too.

Hi,

I would keep what you have as the others are more for a high speed road course and are designed to work at a certain temperarture.

PFC Z-rated is the best PFC pad for autox. Hawk HP+ is good too. You need the cold bite since Autox won't last long enough to heat up the pads to the temperatures required by the race pads. FWIW

I am cursious about any improvements in feedback/feel with the change from stock Z06 pads to either PCF-Zs or HP+s??? Do you feel you are able to modulate the brakes better after changing out the pads??? Is there a significant difference in pedal feel???

Default PF Z pads

I switched to Z pads from stock and like them very much. They are quiet and less dust than stock. Although the dust is more aggressive on polished aluminum if left very long or moisture is introduced. I painted the inside of my rims for protection of the etching. The performance in auto-X is as stated above, great and at the HPDEs I attended the fade was non existent. I did change rotors at the same time, PFCs also.
