Default NASA Removes Constraints on Data Logger Vendor Selection

In a thread I participated back in December, it was pointed out
that only certain brands of data acquisition systems were permitted
at NASA events.

Apparently, NASA reevaluated that policy and decided to revise the
2006 Rules.

See "18.7 Data Acquisition Systems" in the 2006 Rulebook

.

Thanks for pointing that out to others. As a Race Technology DL1 vendor, I know the NASA guys have been leary about buying a unit that was not on "the list".

Also the rules were changed this year for SCCA Touring and Showroom Stock classes. Touring can tap into the vehicle electrical providing no signal modification is done, and SS can only use as a stand alone getting data from the accelerometers and GPS (which still gives you a lot of information to work with).
