I spoke with one of the used scrub dealers with regard to obtaining 275/40-17's. He had zero availability and cited three reasons; firstly, competitors are switching from 275/40-17's to 315/35-17's; secondly,Hoosier is requiring their GAC customers to return their scrubs to Hoosier prior to being sold new tires. Lastly, non Grand Am Cup competitors are more frugal and don't discard their slightly used tires in the same manner as their richer brethren, they are mostly junk by the time he gets them. I'm in the same boat. I called my supplier and he has zero tires and has 14 people on a list. He said the fields in VRL racing have only been about half what they were last year. Last year at this time he had 200 tires.......today none. I have thought about purchasing a new set but ouch!
