Comparing the Rolex DP cars' speed... (Video)
to me driving my Z06 through some of the same sections at VIR.
I recorded the race on my computer and pulled some in car video from the DP cars and then overlaid some of my video on to it so I could see the speed differences!
Here's one clip from the same point after the Uphill Esses and starting into Turn 10:
Giddy Up!
Here's one from after turn 5 going under the bridge:
Giddy Up all over again
And here's one where we start out at the same place going into the Uphill Esses:
Hey! Wait on me!

I watched the race on the Speed Channel. I just ran the course a couple of weeks ago. The differences in speed between my Z06 and the full race Daytona and GT cars is astounding!! Going through the esses at their speeds would make me pucker big time !!!

1:46 laps are very cool. Jody - do you have the last few laps recorded? I forgot to set my DVR before heading up to the race and wanted to see what happened.

Thanks, Jody... nice video comparision !!!
The DP cars seem to be very stable... no front fender bobbing shown on the "Giddy Up" video.
