Default Nitto NT-01

Has anyone used the Nitto NT-01? Looking to by "racetires" for autocross. With the 100 tread wear rating, looks like they might survive the short drive across town to each local event.

Not tried them. But do you have a spare set of wheels? If so, why not go with a real auto-x tire? How long is the drive to the event? I ran Kumho 710s and drove about 10 miles round trip to events. I know others who drove farther. Of course it better not rain...

They are awesome.

I drive 5-8 hours to evetns sometimes and run at Roebling, Road Atlanta, etc..

They aren't hoosiers but they are a lot better than stock and last.
I have 15 sessions (30 minute each avg.) on them and they are about 40% spent. So potentially 5 weekends of running and driving to track. Not bad.

Figure 1-2 seconds quicker than stock tire and about 1-2 seconds slower than a hoosier at least.

I ran the IIR version for 11,000 miles on my 96.

At Mid America Motorplex (2.5 mile track), my times dropped by a solid 5 seconds over my previous Michelin Pilot Sports (315's even in the rear!).

Timing was with track transponders and no other changes.

The Nittos were outstanding!

I would think the NT01 would be an even greater margin...
