What ever happened to the SPOILER tags that are on here.

I just got up and finished watching Sessions 1....at least don't put things in the title.

Your lucky the wife isn't reading this, now I have to keep quiet for another hour.

Thats ok...just booked the hotel and bought PADDOCK TICKETS for Montreal!

We always wanted to do Paddock tickets but its a chunk of change. I wanted to hear the V8's before doing it but it took a few minutes of watching to buy them.

You got a better sense of excitement about this year, especially from the accouncers, good to hear Pete Windsor on the air again.

According to the CF Technical Regulations, that will cost you a "10 post" penalty

I like the new qualifying format

***Copied from myself, elsewhere*** (please pardon the French)

Just got done 'watching' qualy via the live timing feed, thanks to the POS cable here not having Speedvision.

****Car Guy Stuff****

Anyway, that was ca-RAY-zee, had me on the edge of my seat, jumping around yelling at the computer screen. No sound, little blurbs of commentary popping up silently every 15 seconds or so, little numbers moving and changing on the screen...and I'm jumping and screaming like it's overtime in some National Championship game. yeesh. Maybe I'm just so bored in DC that anything will get me excited, but I do believe the new qualy system is at the very least much more fun to watch than before. Schuey went light fuel and stuck it on pole...that bitch. Then again Honda and Renault tried the same and came up short. Good for Massa getting on the front row, but everyone else at Ferrari can go F*** themselves. McLaren doesn't need any help inserting their OWN appendages you know where. How does one purport to be a blue-chip F1 team, yet start from the very back because your suspension broke on the first lap of qualifying? Anyway, I'll be eagerly watching Jacques (11th so he can run as much fuel as he likes, and he LOVES those looong first stints, eh) and Webbo (7th, but looks like he's got a lot of fuel on board as well). Nico spun in the second session then wasn't the same after that, might have farked his tires, hard to say, but anyway he's starting 12th so...yeah I'd love for him to be the next JV (tear it up as a rookie), but for now I'm just hoping for some points out of him. If nothing else, attrition could see him into the top 10, and there's a few cars starting ahead of him that he ought to be able to run down.

My rough prediction? Ferrari + Honda + Monty + Fonzo will leave the rest to fight over the scraps. Any attrition from that group will be great news for Webbo, Fisi, Jacques, Heidfeld, and Rosberg, who will be scrapping for the...um...scraps. Kimi is a wildcard...he's starting dead last, but that means he can use the Villeneuve oil tanker strategy and work his way into the top 10 after the first round of pit stops (in theory). He could battle his way back to finish 10th, or he could battle his way back to finish top 5. Or he could battle his way back to another broken car, courtesy of Mercedes suckage and McLaren quality control. No way he'll catch the lead pack without last year's ridiculously dominant car. Hopefully we'll have a clash of egos between F***face1 and F***face2 (aka MS and FA), taking both out of the race and making more room at the top for my boys in blue (MW, NR, JV)

Personally, I was happy to F1 back. Outside of TA and F1 racing, hard for me to watch or get excited about. I was even glad to see MS back on his game.

I thought Rubens was retiring at the end of last season?

Tgrits10, don't hold back now, tell us how you really feel
I'm glad "The Bitch is Back"! But I'll be rooting for Kimi again.
