Default New F1 V8s

I just turned on my DVR to enjoy the new F1 season (big fan), and was anxiously awaiting what the new V8s would sound like.

I'm a bit dissapointed...

Is it me, or do the McClarens sound like a high RPM 4 stroke weedeater from the in-car shots?
The Ferrari sounds much better, and the Renaults actually sound closest to the V10--best of the bunch.
I was expecting a very exotic, super-high RPM sound, but some of the manufacturers sound a bit flat to me.
Nothing like the very brassy, resonating, raucous V10s--I'm gonna miss that sound...

Good news, even w/ abt 20% less HP, the lap times @ Bahrain are within 1-2% of the track record--so far...

I miss the V12s - and of course the turbo era.

I thought the Renault V8 sounded like last year's V10. I'll check out the others later this morning! I love my DVR!

Better aero packages this year, better tires. Supposedly some teams are revving the V8's to 20K which will produce more HP!! The V10 is limited to 16,500 RPM.
