Safe Motorsports waives membership fee for Homestead-Miami Event 4-15-06
Hey all,
Phil Steinberg, President of Safe Motorsports has waived the annual $50 membership fee for those signing up with Safe for the April 15, 2006 Homestead Miami Speedway event.
Safe runs an open track format - run until you or your car needs a break. I've been with Safe for a couple of years now and it is a great group of folks. There are about 7 of us forum members that attend most Safe events (Joe_G, Taaz024, dmtnt, Mark's_C5_TT, Dr Chill, JohnSeao6, Joseph796), we have a great time.
For those of you who want to check out some track driving before signing up, Safe allows ride alongs for $30 and one of us usually has an extra helmet available and will be happy to give you a ride. Hint - Taaz024 gives the "E-ticket" rides!
Be sure and tell Phil that Joe G with the blue convetible Vette sent you if you sign up! Hope to see some of you there.

I will be there, at least with my Ferrari. There is a chance my C6 will be done if the turbos get here soon. If so I will have that as well. My C5 should be there as well, but I sold it to a friend of mine. He will be driving it. My cousin will have his Z-06 there as well.
BTW I posted a video a while back on the C6 forum from the last Safe event. SAFE event Feb 2006

I will miss this one as I am going to be at Homestead with Chin on the 19th of March. I would like to give them a try at Sebring. Seems as if the Chin Novice spots are filling up quick with Chin and the wife wants to go to Sebring to drive.

All you other guys who are members of other groups should give Safe a try - you sure won't get any more track time!

How far in advance does it usually sell out? When are the docs availble for Sebring?
Thanks,
Derek

Phil normally sends out the application about 1 month in advance. For example, I received the 4/15 Homestead paperwork last week. It's normally on the website about that time too.
I've never had a problem with sellouts, but I tend to get my stuff in early (I'm paid already for Homestead). Phil is a great guy, I would bet even if they sold out and he wait listed you, you'd have a good chance of getting in.
Hope to meet you there!
Joe
