I doubt you neck will gets smaller in the future. I would give them a ring or email them. When I bought mine they were very helpful and accommodating. Larger would be easier to sell I would think but that should really play no part in the equation. Great your are getting one

As a dealer, I'd agree with the statement about your neck not getting smaller, and you'd *probably* be better off in a medium. But, also know that if it is not correct, you can return it for the right one within 30 days. Just don't rip off the tag...

I am glad to hear you are considering a head and neck restraint. Be sure that your car is set up to take full advantage of the device. The HANS device requires the shoulder harness over both shoulders for maximum benefit. I have seen harnesses with different widths which are supposedly for the HANS. I use regular width harnesses, but someone that knows more than me should advise you. I also use a different device for when I use regular seat belts. That device straps around your body and does not neccessarily rely on the shoulder harness to work. Good luck with your decision and safe driving.

Thanks All. I spoke with the guys at HANS and they also recomended a Medium. Their reason was that the Small may feel too tight.

Rob,
I've got a Sparco Evo Seat, 6-Point harness w/ 3" should and waist belts. It's 2 years old now, so I'm looking to replace it within the next year anyways. Looking at getting one of the 2"/3" hybrid harness, but not sure. The HANS webpage said it was designed for a 3" harness, so who really knows for sure.

1 Last question.

Now that I've got the HANS am I correct in assuming that I should disable the Airbag while I'm wearing it? That's just pulling a fuse right? Which one?
