Default How to get there?

So, you guys that are running used take-off slicks at DE's - how are you getting to the track? I assume you either have a tow vehicle, or a tire trailer for behind the Vette?

I've been doing DE's for 4 years, and would love to step up to some decent tires, but just can't bring myself to drive to the track on them.... unless I moved closer?

Tire trailer is the only real solution. It is not a fortune and not much trouble to handle. It also leaves you more room in the car.

Easy and convinent. I've been using a tire trailer for six years, or so.

Only downside:

1. You have to change tires at the track
2. I change brake pads the day before leaving and change back after returning from the event.
3. No easy way to get your car home... if damaged.

I ran a CTS-V the past two years and it was real easy bringing 4 Hoosier slicks in the back seat. But obviously I can't do this in my C6Z. I checked with several trailer dealers and manufacturers and a tire trailer is not an option. So my compromise is a set of CCW wheels with Michelin Sport Cups (295 front & 345 rear) that I will drive to the track and then run there. We'll see how this works out.
