John,
Thank you for your inquiry. The A6 model will be released in late March and the R6 model will follow shortly after. We do not have a list of exactly when each size will be released at this time. Your nearest Hoosier Distributor will be able to see from their inventory when the new models are available.
Thank you for your interest!
Sincerely,

With the availability of 19", C6 Z06 sizes, is it possible that the Z could quickly become eligible for SS?

Not sure how soon they will be available, but there are some cool new sizes:

295/17 (for a Z06/C4 front)
295/18 (C6 front or non Z C5 rear)

Previous post:

This is what Luke@Tirerack posted:
this is the first official announcement directly from Hoosier according to Jeff Spear their AutoX / Road Race Product Manager

the new tire is designed and tested and is coming out very soon

new 19" sizes are:
315/40-19 (Ford GT)
325/30-19 ( C6 Z06)
345/30-19 (Viper SRT10)

the first two will be available in late March and the Viper size in mid-April

these are also new compound/technological version from the previous R3S05 and A3S05 ... They will be known as simply, R6 for road race and A6 for AutoX. All of the existing Hoosier race tires will be converting to the new designs (so, look for a sale on R3S05's and A3S05's in the future)

see what they told me on top. I don't see the 315 unless they already make it. He said what is made now and the two I listed. He could be wrong but that's what he said.

I like words like sale.

For those of us who may be willing to give up .5 second for $100 less a tire I may be willing to take them off there hands.

Unless of course the new ones last that much longer like they suggest on the release.

Hoosier's 305/18 is almost the exact width (tread on the ground) of kumho's 315 when mounted. The kumho's advantage is the larger diameter, and heavier weight, which kills some torque at the contact patch, and taller, softer sidewall - making it easier to drive for most.

Is it really a noticeable difference between a 25.4 inch vs. 26.4 inch tire in the rear??

I have a chance to buy 4 used v710's 315/35/18's and first question is can you mount them all around without rub (on a lowered t1 setup car).
On track how would it handle??

Maybe wortha seperate post..hmmm

Nope - SEB has already made that call for 2006, ASP until next year. Doubt they'd short-cut the rules process just for one car, especially one with limited availability.

The front might rub on a lowered car, it's a pretty tall tire. You will feel the gearing difference on a stock car/engine.

The S03's and S04's were ok at the time (when there was scant competition), but if you have to put 40 psi in a Corvette tire to keep it from rolling over and destroying itself with 2+ degrees of negative camber, there is something basically wrong with what you are doing. With that much pressure you are making the tire so stiff that the contact patch is getting small and you end up loosing a lot of fore/aft grip, in addition to making the tire "edgy" and more difficult to drive at it's peak.

Hooser has relied on "compound" to get grip and hasn't addressed the construction issue since they came out with radials.

From the press release it looks like they have been listening to "Hoosier Tom" and a few others who have been telling them for the last couple of years that they needed to get their construction act together. If they end up with lower pressures and no sidewall wear problems they may have something. Time will tell....

What I've heard is the new tire does require significantly less pressure. I completely agree with what your saying Solofast and I've been saying the same thing for a while. As you say, hopefully Hoosier is getting their act together with this tire.

And us guys who have Z51 C6 with 285 x 19 and want to stay in SCCA SS class are left without a tire to run. I might have to put the 325 x 19 on the stock 10" rim.
