Sonny,

Was that your top end speed or were you limited to 174 before they politely told you to go home becasue you were going too fast?

I'm surprised ECTA still likes using that site. I know it's cheap, but the concrete is coming apart too much and the slabs are shifting more and getting more offset.

I've autocrossed there for a few years with Tarheels. Ran my C4 up pretty good one day down your white line when I was down there doing a site cleanup and course setup. Too bumpy. I'm surprised your car doesn't skip over a slab here and there from lifting over the cracks. Now for autocross it is awesome grip and makes for nice long courses.

hey everybody,
unfortunately it will probably be after the first weekend in aprll before i can do any auto-x, but i am planning on getting back to it.

i just had a nos kit installed (660rwhp with a 175 jet, can jet to 300) and i'm planning on using it the weekend of hot rod magazines top speed challenge at maxton (april 1st and 2nd).

the car would not do much more than 175 in the mile without changing gears, which was perfect because that was all i teched to anyway. i'm getting ready to install a full cage, so i should be teched to 200 this year, so ... new goal!

see ya!

I miss running at Maxton on the bike, but I don't miss the lines. My last time down was May 2004, I got 4 runs in all weekend. How have the lines been lately?
