Default Cobalt Spec VRs?

Anyone use them for track days/racing? How do they stack up?

So far it sounds like Hawk DTC 70s are the best but also one of the most expensive.

I've used the Spec VR. Excellent stopping power and fade-free. Like many of the other race pads, tough on rotors. Cobalt supplies race pads to many of the pro teams in Grand Am and several Rolex prototypes (including the 24 hour of Daytona winners 2 years ago), so they have a good rep.

I have been using them and like them alot. Never had them fade or destroy a rotor in a single track day.

I've used them for years racing Hondas so I was surprised to not hear a peep about them over hear.

Good to hear some positive comments.

Any comparision comments were someone has used more than 1 brand? vs Hawk? vs Carbotech?
