Default Coilovers with T1 bars

Using my 03 Z06 mainly for street use and several times a year open tracking. I have an extra set of wheels with sticky tires mounted on them for open tracking.

Once the coilovers are one will I need to up grade the bars?
The coilovers are Penskes' from ATI.

See what ATI say because they know the spring rates and setup.

Personally, I thought my stock, 2002 Z06 rolled way too much. Chicanes were tricky with the car rolling from turn to turn. I installed T1 bars and woo-hoo what a difference! The car corners flat and fast. However my car is mostly a track car and I don't mind ride degradation that comes with the fat bars. I've got a set of LG coilovers sitting on the workbench that are going in this weekend. The T1 sway bars with stock springs was OK but not the best. LG has me set up with 700x600 lb springs.

If you were me and you can thank God you are not, I'd put T1 bars on your car in a nano.

For a car that will be mostly street driven, for best handling on the street, I'd recommend the ADDCO bars - 35mm front, and 25mm rear, similar to what you might run on an autocross car (based on similar speeds/surfaces). Should be fine for occasional track use as well.

If the primary usage was track, then the T1 bars might be considered, but that front T1 bar is way too much for good street handling. More bar is not necessarily better. It all depends on the purpose of the car.

If you have not done so already, more important would be to install some poly bushings, like those made by VBP.

Also important is a good wheel alignment and corner balance.

Keith -- final spring rates really will depend on valving, but from what I've seen on most street/track vettes, folk are running in the 500-650 range, either 500/600 or 550/600, or 550/650. I've run on 550/600 for a while and find it to be a decent comprimise, albeit a little stiff.
In perspective though, I drove the car on the street for a while w/ T1 bars, and didn't have a single complaint . . . .

Can you install these yourself at home? Or should I pull the arms and get a machine shop with a press to pop the old ones and insert the new ones?

easier to pay a few bucks and have someone press them in. Make a spacer so they don't bend the a-arms

T-1 bars won't hurt ride much. T-1 springs now, that's a different story! Way hard, but my C-5 is FLAT any speed anywhere. That's all I want on my track car.

The Vette Brake's bushings do not need a hydraulic press to install. I just finished mine and it is easy to do with hand tools.

Very true, I found that my 02 Z06 rides stiffer but not harsh with the T1 sway bars. Also it does not scrape the pavement like my CE after they were lowered. I plan on putting T1 sway bars on my CE once I locate a set
