Best compound to remove swirls
I have a Y2K C5 with 30,000 miles. Have used Zaino since owning the car. I would like to strip the zaino and buff out the car with my Porter Cable to remove abrasions, swirls, minor scratches. Then re-apply zaino.
What do you recommend as far as compounds to use with the Porter Cable for this purpose?

With a porter cable you need to concentrate on two things, polishes and pads.
1. Polishes -- Einszett, Menzerna
2. Pads -- learn the difference between foam and wools, and the difference between cutting pads and finishing pads.
The PC is a great tool for surface prep and small repairs, but if you have large scratching and swirls, you may need to professionally wetsand or rotary polish.
