Re: Best Leather Care Product (AFVETTE)
I'm a Zaino user, all I can say is the product cleans and protects both my cars, my 99 vette and wifes PT Cruiser. The stuff smells so good that when I'm finished with the cars I take the saturated towels and clean all my leather loafers, watch band and sometimes I'll wipe down our leather familiy room furniture. Then I leave the saturated towel under tha passenger seat to keep that smell.

Re: Best Leather Care Product (Z Factor)
I voted for Meguair's. I use the Gold Class in liquid form and I'm very happy with the product. It has a great smell (if that counts) anyways it has UV protection (more important) and Aloe. It's like anything if it works for you don't change it.

Does anyone know if these leather conditioners can be used on Baseball gloves?

i think hyde food smells the best! but it's a ^$#%^$@! to put on, so i don't use it anymore. you figure if it's made by the makers of connolly hydes, it's got to be pretty good stuff....
now i only use zaino leather conditioner or lexol (usually the former once or twice a week, and the latter once a month or if i store the car for any length).

Hide Food does WONDERS to certain types of leather (makes them feel smooth and supple), but it's basically just lanolin (hand cream) and parafin wax, so I'm not sure how much protection it provides. Its smell is much "classier" than most of the American brands, and that's why I use it sometimes.

Re: Best Leather Care Product (SLO VETTE)
~One mans opinion / observation~
Leatherique- products are especially beneficial on neglected, abused or aged leathers that have developed "character lines". Used by Rolls Royce, Bentley, Jaguar, Aston Martin and Ferrari.
Coated Leather- leather made from natural hides, but uniquely treated with a light pigmented urethane coating to make it more suitable for automotive seating. It retains the softness of natural top-grain leather but resists fading in direct sunlight. Spills wipe off with a moist cloth, retains the aura of natural leather without its sensitivity to light and abuse.
Some leather being used in domestic automobiles has a top veneer of vinyl. This should be considered a vinyl interior and treated with a vinyl dressing. Do not use a leather conditioner on vinyl-topped leather. The conditioning oils cannot penetrate the vinyl coating to reach the leather. Zymol Leather Conditioner contains natural oils and Collagens and is an excellent product to use on both surface dyed and vinyl topped leather. If you're not sure if your car's leather is vinyl coated, check with your car dealer or the manufacturer.
Leather is either vat-dyed or a spray-on dye is used. Vat-dyed colour is obtained by immersing the hide in dye, ensuring that the dye permeates through the hide. With spray-on the dye is painted on the surface of the hide, it produces an even colour but the natural grain and looks of the hide is hidden as well as the hide’s longevity being compromised. This is also the least expensive way of applying a leather dye (used mainly by both American and Japanese car manufactures) European vehicles are usually upholstered with vat-dyed leather.
Avoid products that contain mineral oil, petroleum distillates or silicones that will dry out the leather or wax that sits on it’s surface to prove shine, but does nothing for the leather but clog it’s fibres.
~Hope this helps~

Once I tried Pinnacle I fell for it hook, line and sinker. It gives a rich, matte gloss finish that feels more luxurious than even Zaino. My leather seats always feel smooth and silky. I can't keep my hands off them!

I gotta go with the Leather Master cleaner that Vette Essentials sells. Being that VE is in the leather seating business, they would know better than anyone on the type of product to use for maintaining your leather! Great stuff, and it doesn't have a greasy residue! Not to mention, doesn't clog up the pores in the inserts either.... Keeps my Oak/Black seats looking like they did since day 1.

I'd say Evil Twin but that would be another CF member.

I was just at a local leather shop that does work for exotic cars, and they have some type of leather oil. They swear by it, but the label had come off and the owner didn't have time to look it up for me. He said to check back with him in a week and he will pass on it's name. Supposedly, it is the "best leather restorer" on the market, so I am naturally curious.
