I am not happy with Meguiers Endurance Tire Dressing..other suggestions
I have been using Endurance ever since I got my car - I was happy until I noticed last weekend (not sure why I noticed) when washing the car that the product just gums up the tire. The gel does not wash off - it gets into the crevices of the lettering on the tire. I was able to take and old sock and get off a bunch of the old gel. To see if you have much build up take your finger nail and run it perpendicular to the tire - see how much black gunk you get off. I have been using this stuff for almost 4 years and this is the first I noticed - the build up - I do not apply it all that often and when I do I always tried to put on a light coat. Question is - I am looking for a different tire dressing - not a get more of a spray on a towel and put it on the tire type - give me some recommendations. I think I saw some people saying they use vinelyx (something like that ) -- I thought that stuff was for interiors only - I already have some at home. I am looking for something that will last a few weeks without the gunk buildup.

I use the stuff on my C5 and liked the look ok. But now I see a powdery goo on the paint around my wheel wells. Looks like I've been shredding my tires at the strip or something. Stopped using it and washed the car several times and it's still gooing. Have you had this prob. Before this I used Eagle 1 and will switch back soon. It doesn't last as long though.

The Vinylex that you mention is an excellent product. It's my tire dressing product of choice. :yesnod: No "gumming up" or any type of buildup. As you mentioned, it can also be used on the interior if you like. The Vinylex will provide a bit more shine than 303 Aerospace Protectant, so I don't really use the Vinylex on interior components - just the tires.

I use to use Mequiars tire gel but never again. I love the way it looks on the tires but it just slings way too much up on the fenders. Guess I'll stick with the Zaino tire product even though it doesn't look quite as good.

If you do not use too much and do not drive the car for a few hours, you will not get any sling. It looks wet but it is dry to the touch. Once it is dry, it can't sling!!

I have used Griots Vinyl & Rubber Tire Dressing as well as Vinylex. Both work excellent for me. The Griots doesn't produce as much of a shine. Griots costs around $30 for 35oz and Vinylex 16.9 oz is around $10.50, 3 liters for $35. Simply spray the fluid into a cup and use a foam paint applicator to dress the tire. No extra or spray onto wheels.

Same here with Meguairs. I am going back to Eagle One wet. Thats stuff does not last as long but its much easier to wipe off when I need to clean the wheels.

I have used everything you can buy in a store, and Zaino (I have not tried pinnacle or some of the other high end brands not available in stores). Zaino works so well, I am done looking. Even Stoners - which I have two cans of in my garage now, will sling the day after applying. I seriously recommend Zaino.

I also use the Pinnacle Black Onyx Tire Gel and it produces zero sling, keeps a slight wet look but is dry to the touch. It doesn't look as wet as others, but I think it looks better than the extreme wet shine
